Swell.
I'm surprised any of my checks ever clear the bank, half the time I've got the wrong year on them.

ChrismonDA said:My question this Crosslander appears to not have ABS or Airbags. I thought that this was the reason that the Defender could no longer be imported to the US. Then how can this vehicle conform to Federal mandates?
Are you sure it wasnt a Defender?sean said:a local dealer had one for sale. i had to stop to see what kind of ungodly creation it was. sloppy body work, paint is rough and seams don't seem to match up evenly. it seemed to be a crude bronco like designfor suspension. by the time u get within a few feet of one u can tell how poor the quality is.

SmellyAlbatross said:So it has IFS and rear leaf springs? Yikes...I guess we will have to yank out lots of these, now!
I predict that 90% of the people who will even look at them with not know/care enough to notice sloppy paint, bad lines, etc. It will be a BLING thing. Think 300c hemi...few buyers care about that engine in there...they just want a pimped ride. H2 owners for the most part couldnt tell you how to engage the transfer case. They just want dubs on that mofo!

SCSL said:I'm with ya. I don't know if it's an investor scam or a piece of crap or whatever,,, but I hope they pull thru & sell here b/c at least someone is disengaging from the luxury SUV trend that has completely taken over LR & offering something for what really is our target market. I still can't get over LR not thinking a bare bones Defender would sell here,,but,, that's another thread,,, ,,, somehow J**p is able to keep offering up new models geared to the trail they keep selling,,,
syoung said:The Crosslander will never become mainstream if they ever become available. Once you price it out with the offroad options it's the same price as a Rubicon XL. I'd rather have the Jeep when I'm out in East BumF*ck and need a belt, bearing or u-joint. The backwoods NAPA ain't gonna stock Crosslander parts.
