Was surprised to see them clear as much as they did, Gov., Lt Gov. Even a transgender person to the House. Not sure if it was just backlash against Trump or something larger.
Politico...nothing more to say . Bottom line is the congested areas voted for more of the same 'progressive' BS.
Virginia turned blue with the influx of liberals into northern Va and the expansions around Richmond. Generally they move from other states ruined by democrat policies (high taxes and restricted liberties) only to vote in the same mindset to start the decline yet again. Hell, they voted in a guy who can't figure out his own sex by looking in his trousers but want him to make policy for us. I don't think it has to do with Trump directly, but win or lose, that is how it is portrayed by the parties and media.
If Trump didn't tweet and make just some of the controversial comments he made he would have took VA. Let's all let that sink in.
This is surprising

Hillary Clinton
Democrat
1,981,473 49.8%
Donald J. Trump
Republican
1,769,443 44.4%
Hard to follow your logic here. Why would those tweets and comments have had more sway in Virginia? Or are you suggesting that he would have gotten more votes overall? You could easily argue if he had done any number of things he would have won more votes, but the same could be argued of both sides.
Or are you suggesting he killed some Republicans chances in this election?
And you meant taken, not took.
Trump lost a lot of never trumpers and independents with a lot of his hardline comments, that?s all.
He couldn?t have lost ?NeverTrumpers.?
Definitely lost indys.
Probably lost some former (2016) Trump voters to Dems.
