Same one's I got. Grind the inside for the ring gear.OD or ID? My ID is 7 7/8ths my OD is 8 5/8ths
I ordered the 8" ones from here originally - http://fluiddesignproducts.com/fdpweb/product.php?group=259
Don't you also need a skid for the underside anyway, with that design? That bugger must be pretty heavy, and the weight/thickness on the upper area is kind of wasted
No, the bottom is plenty strong and very unlikely to bend. The plug you see on that one is a Series drain plug, not recessed like later vehicles
Bill is done. I think Luke took over.
Its 3/8-20 British Standard Fine thread. I retapped to 7/16-14.I put the Tactical Rovers in this week. Much sturdier than the terrafirmas
Had to make 1/4" steel plate spacers to clear the pinion on both ends. Made sense for the rear, since I don't have a harmonic balancer anymore, but I don't think the front ever had one of those
The included bolts were too short to get the nut fully threaded on, and I didn't want to go longer bolts as it was already too close to the diff, so I got Grade 8 thin nylock nuts to replace the standard nut and lock washer
The threads on the diff housing is some kind of crazy british thread, not M10x1.25. I retapped them to M10x1.5. Not totally ideal, but it seems to hold strong
Since tactical is close to me, I'm also thinking about replacing my terrafirma low profile bumper with a TR - I want a bull bar
Looks like it, Bill was not in Georgia as the new location indicates.Bill is done. I think Luke took over.

Yup, Luke bought all his equipment and moved it down to ATL. He’s going to do some cool stuff! He’s got Bill’s designs, and Denny’s designs, and I think it’s going to be Hard Labor Creek (redux). Luke always runs a tight business so I think you can count on some cools stuff coming your way soon.
You're talking about RTE. This is Overtyme. Bill continued to make the same product for a fraction of the cost of RTE and with better weld qualityWho cares, in the end? It's the same shit either way. It always has been.
That mythical era in which they were supposed to be the cat's ass of quality simply did not exist.
Cheers,
Kennith
