Will do. I already know it needs a head gasket, so my plan is to just tear it down and go through it. For the price and the shape of I were to buy a new engine I would still be ahead. I would get the key first (no matter the cost) before buying the car - and be sure it works!
Ive had this done. I called Landrover in portland. They needed a copy of the registration with my name on it and a scan of my Lic. Then they gave me the key code which I took to the local locksmith and had a new key cut.I am buying a 1996 Discovery 1 for a project. The ignition key got broke some how (not in the ignition) and the current owner does not have a comple key. Can I get one made off the Vin number?
