I came across a relay sold as a land rover replacement and it has a knob on top but I don't know what it does. I thought it would fit into the relay slot on my fuse box but it was too large so I made the pigtails like was done for a different relay used for LED fast flash. I found this in a...
I think I want it, I have to look into making it work on mine. I remember something about a set of unique numbers that simplifies it but usually gets discarded. Do you happen to know anything about this?
I got my mf u out and it an AMR 5360. I have an AMR 1280 I was going to try in my disco. Supposedly the 1280 came out of a 97. anyone know what the different MFUs are about? I haven't tried the MFU test because I dont want to fire up my disco inside my shop and its not yet ready to go...
I believe this is what mine is missing. I’d like to find one. As an alternative, I have a rear air/sunroof bezel, I can cut and put a blank in for the switch, so a blank (same blank as above?) will also work. I have neither. Thanks
I have a spare MFU supposedly off a 97 and a 98 I’m going to take the MFU, both untested. I need to research the “right way” to get in behind the fuse box. It looks like I might need to unhook a bunch more to get to the mfu. I’ll take any pointers and it sounds like model yr MFu s are...
I have deoxit. I've used it on my van. If they're really bad I manually clean the connections too. The most thorough process I've tried is to scrub as much grease off with superclean then treat with phosphoric acid to get it looking shiny, rinse and scrub then put de ox or synthetic grease on...
I’ve done it, it’s a pain and window switches are more annoying than the dash I think. I appreciate the fact if the switch dried out and corroded I can make it work again. But to make a custom label that lights up and looks virtually stock, I’m clearly in need of a bit more than luck!
finally found the post about LED flasher relays. I got the adjustable one and I think it goes right into the fuse box. the post I read linked to something else, not sure if it was even the right one but it also required a pigtail extension, so extra work and extra wires in the way. The dial...
I am looking at my D1 switches and I want to pull the covers off but I can't figure it out. I know how to open them up to clean the contacts but I have not been successful at pulling the covers off. The reason I want to do this is to see if I can figure a way to custom label a switch and...
