Who was in Waco looking at a house yesterday?

Ugh. I'm on an iPad and have no idea why the pic is sideways.

Who was in Waco looking at a house yesterday?

This is a sweet D1. Very clean, and very tastefully done.

The ad copy on that page was so bad I can't imagine anyone with 100k to spend on a toy would do so with them.

Make my home theater great again

OP, if you've got money to spend, look at Danley Sound Labs. They really are as incredible as people say. Some SHmini's as satellites and a CS30 for sub would be the "budget" option. SM80's and a DTS10 for a step up, or SH50's and a few dts10's for the ultimate. Of course that would take a...

Make my home theater great again

Lol. I've seen that a million times. Most old guys are in the clubs because they can't hack it anywhere else. I've hit "soundguy retirement" and I work for a large church now. Yamaha CL5's and Danley cabinets. Its pretty nice. Its also salary which I've never had before.

Make my home theater great again

Oh yeah, cardioid array-ing your subs almost always helps. You are reducing the amount of energy thats available to excite the room by about half, while keeping the same amount (or more) energy going forward into the meat on the seats. I've done a fair amount of corpy work. Most of my time was...

Make my home theater great again

It's true, sorta. If you are outside it's definitely true. Spread those subs and you'll have loud spots and quiet spots radiating out from the 2 sources. When you are indoors, it's a lot more complicated. There's reflections that interact in the same way even if there's only one sub in the room...

Make my home theater great again

I may have missed it, but what do you do? I am a 20+ year veteran of live sound production. EV has always made great stuff, on the high end, but I'll agree their entry level stuff was not that great. What digital snake? Behringer stuff? I'm a fan of the X32 products. for the price it can't...

    Nifty jack accessory.

So. The flat bottom is kinda the point. It won't sink like just the jack will. I mean, it's got more surface area than a high lift does! I don't care if the bottom gets scratched or dented. Its the bottom. Its supposed to get abused.

    Nifty jack accessory.

https://youtu.be/iE44AaQ7v40 Skip to 13:20 where he's showing off the jack mount. This is a great alternative to the high lift. Those HF jacks are actually pretty good too.

4 Jerry Cans and Two Water Cans?

Our collective, sufficient, argument is that it's a stupid idea. For all the reasons pointed out already, but mainly hurricanes don't sneak up on you over night. How about you buy 20 gallons of gas and keep it in the garage. In December you can *slowly* pour it into your gas tank a gallon at a...

    Trans/Transfercase install tips?

My driveway has a slope to it for one thing. But also I don't have very tall jackstands. The cribbing gets the car much higher than I can with stands alone. Plus its safer.

    Trans/Transfercase install tips?

I've done a couple of transmissions this way. Cribbing blocks for the front, rear was on ramps. Motorcycle jack for the transmission. I still had to put a couple of 4x4's between the trans and the Jack to get it high enough.
