Thanks guys. I have used the Ashcroft calculator and am thinking that the 4.12's would be the way to go. I like to gather all the wisdom I can before dropping that kind of cash.
I am looking for some advice. I have a 95 D1 with 200tdi and an LT77 Transmission with a 1.2 transfer gearbox, running 33" tires. I am going to install Ashcroft lockers front and rear, and Am looking for suggestions on gearing. This is not my primary driver but I use it for long trips and...
I got the door open finally. It opens with no problem unless you lock it, if you lock it the only way to open it is from the latch. I'll take it apart when I have more time in the mean time I tied safety wire around the latch release so I can pop it open if it gets stuck. Thanks agin for the help.
Tried that. I can get the levers to move but it's like the latch is frozen. Every thing seems to be moving as it should but it won't open. it's as if the latch failed.
I'm sure this has been addressed before but I searched the threads and couldn't find anything. The drivers door on my 95 D1 is stuck shut. The door unlocks but will not open from either side. I peeled the door panel back and everything looks okay. Any ideas on getting the door to open? Thanks!
Just an FYI. I purchased a LT77 gearbox from Ashcroft Transmissions, installed it a couple of weeks ago and it is performing flawlessly! Very easy to do business with and I am satisfied with the quality and workmanship. I look forward to installing their airlockers soon.
