I got the "new" used hub from Will this afternoon. (Thanks Will!)
Once it's installed with the new ABS Sensor, with the ABS computer reset itself? And will the three amigos go away? Or will I need to reset the codes?
I was just looking at my truck and turned the wheels hard right and left. I noticed on the right front hub what appears to be the remains of a circular seal or something gone bad.
Guys,
I recently did a brake job and replaced all four rotors and pads. Everything seemed fine. Used appropropiate amounts of grease on the caliper/pad touch points and behind the pad shims. I drove it for a few days and properly broke in the pads/rotors. Yesterday, I was pullng a trailer...
No, I've never replaced the filter. Nothing seems to be leaking, no evidence of fluid around anything, plus the fluid in the resoviour seems consistant. I have read that the system is sensitive to the ingress of dirt.
I just read elsewhere that to delete the system, it just requires removing the pump, changing the belt and re-programing. Is that it? If so, how would it drive, as if no sway bar system?
I have a 99D2 with a 2" OME lift, steel wheels, 265/75R16 TAKO's. The truck has 110K Miles. I've never had an issue with the ACE system, and every other year would replace the fluid as routine maint. Recently, I've had the yellow ACE light come on. But no issues with performance. I had...
Just to follow up... turned out the stater was dead. I disconnected it from the battery and used a battery charger to try and turn over the stater before I took it out. no go! Got a new starter from NAPA for $179 and we're good to go.
Thanks everyone!
Paul,
I did mine a few years ago, As I recall I just moved the ACE pump and AC to the side. I didn't have to take them out. And as someone mentioned, there is a plastic inner fender you can remove to give you more access.
Good luck!

Shouldn't you be wrenching on an MG instead? lol
When car batteries charge they produce hydrogen. Though it is a small amount and tends to dissapate quickly, it's very explosive. I would keep it outside the cab and in a place where it can vent.

Just more out loud thoughts. I can hear the click when the shifter is P or N. But if I try to turn the key in any other gear there is no click at all. Weird.
