When you put the key in does the center part of the ignition depress? If not take a punch and pop it once it depresses you can put the key in and it should turn.

might sound silly but, did you check fuses? my 97 would die when her nose was higher then 45* and ether just crank or click once. turns out the engine mangement system fuse was blowing. O2 senser wire melted and would touch the cat and blow the fuse.

Is the key stuck in it? if not does the key and cylinder push in? if it doesn't pop it with a punch or screwdriver and try the key again. max
check your fuses. i had a wire for O2 sensor the would touch and blow a fuse. I want to say it was the engine management fuse (20 amp). some times it would click sometimes not. Max
