I need to know what the center hub opening in the D1 steel wheels are, does anybody have one handy that they can measure and report back to me? I had a set but sold them a few weeks ago and don't have a D1 or RRC handy to measure. My reason for asking is I recently purchased a 1967 M101...

Thanks for the additional information. I'll dig out one of the nicer ones this weekend to take a look. Based on the way the 205/80's fit on the rims I'm guessing they are 5.5". I may just go with a 215/85 unless I can find a line of a set of 7.5R16 Michelin XZL's, which would be really nice...

It's an easy fix if you pull the console remove the shifter to free up the rod, lube the heck out of it and put it back in. I had the same problem on mine when I got it. I packed a boatload of good synthetic grease in the housing so it would lube the shaft and other bits every time I use it so...
