Googled the hell out of this topic, looked at the Rave Manual. But looking for a writeup on how to replace the oil pump gears.
I am reading references in the forum about packing the gears with vasoline to prime etc....but cannot find a good writeup that I am comfortable with tackling this job...
will have to figure another oil temp sensor solution. You cannot use a T-piece as the capillary tube needs flow around it. Hmm....

Alternatively I believe I have adapters to just replace the existing oil sending unit with the gauge temp sender. Would just have to disable the oil light. What would be the best way to do that? Unplug the bulb in the dash I suppose?

Had the headgaskets done at a local indy.
Got the truck back and now the left side valve cover has been replaced with a valve cover will an oil fill cap. And the original oil fill cap is still on the right side. Take a look at the attached picture.
