Broke diff, removed rear axle, removed propshaft, locked cdl
It has been two weeks, transmission just started to feel like I am starting off in 4 gear for a second or two and then goes back to normal. Sometimes I step on gas and there is a delay in...
Blew my rear diff on a '98 Disco:
-Crown and Pinion Shot
-Housing Cracked
-Diff gears missing teeth
-Cross Shaft in 4 pieces
Is it worth sourcing the parts and rebuilding it? Is it worth the time?
I was able to pick up a crown and pinion set for $60 at MAR and I can get the rest for under $400.

Runs good
Running 10w40 for this trip (normally 5w30)
All fluids just changed
New NGK plugs and wires
Heading to OBX (about 400miles trip)
Three hours in engine starts to loose power...I know its the VSS have had intemittent problems...
Searched all the old threads...found several mentions about wiring a switch to run AC fans indpendently without the AC on for additional engine cooling.
My questions are...
Has anybody done this by jumping wires from inside the vehicle at the condensor fan relay?
Do you just wire the fans...
Planning on going to Paragon in PA on Sunday 4/17. Need another vehicle to make three. We are coming from Frederick, MD on Saturday and will camp overnight.

Mechanic did a transmission flush with and put in synthetic
I installed rte 2" lift day before service with rte rear links to fix pinion angle...got it back from mechanic and it doesn't seem to be as tight, late shifting like a bad driver with a clutch...checked transmission...
