Thanks everyone, it is a 2005 without the "shark fin" so I'm guessing it doesn't do much.
It searches for a phone when the button is pressed and the radio is on, but otherwise just is a very random second way of turning the radio on if it is off.
By the way, I did find the instructional...
I just bought my wife an LR3, Heavy Duty with rear locker, and am trying to find out what a dash button does.
It is just to the right of the Audio System display, and has the power icon with telephone button. Is this a blue-tooth, or a standard button?
Before you blast me, I have read the...
The correct way of replacing the pulley has already been mentioned, however... When I found myself in the middle of Utah and the pulley started squealing, I got a pulley off a 4.0 V8 Buick in a junkyard.
It matched up perfectly and got me home.
Like I said, not the correct way but it...
Don't forget to check the condition of your spare tire. Just the basic air pressure, things you forgot about which made it the spare etc. It really sucks walking out rolling a spare tire (spare victim to vandalism).
I wouldn't worry too much about some of the concerns you brought up. With the assistance of my 5 year old son, I replaced all the brakes in about 2 hours. Could have done it in half the time without my helper. My wife came out to ask me if I wanted lunch before I started, and I had already...
If you have a D1, I've heard of moving the rear springs up front then buying only the new rear springs. This won't quite get you the 2" but with some trimming etc you could just fit the 32's. You'll still have to address the shock issue like has been already mentioned.
I bought the 34683-0VGA
Pittsburgh 14 PC. 1/2'' METRIC DEEP IMPACT SOCKET SETfrom Harbor Freight for $20.00. It includes the 27mm and a bunch more. I figured it cost the same as buying two sockets anyway, and now I have them. I agree including the breaker bar makes it much...
Just a minor cosmetic item is the roof rack on the 2004 is a circular steel tube as opposed to the "square" tube on the 2003.
Mostly a concern if you are moving a ski or bike rack from one disco to another. Most rack companies (Thule, Yakima, etc) will sell just the mounting points if you ask...
My '96 had carbon build-up in the intake manifold, process of elimination. Have you checked the catalytic converters?
DIY basic stuff 1) Air 2) Fuel 3) Exhaust
Good Luck !
Hey Seth, I'll be there too shortly after 10:00 however. I'll try and bring the random tools and at least the Haynes manual, at least for laughs and frustration.
Dudley said he would ben joining us as well, I don't know what time however.

I have recently talked my brother in law into buying a 2004 g4 because I couldn't afford it. It has Safarigard front (with milemarker winch) and rear bumpers. It also has Safarigard rock sliders and the good decal package. Yeah, I'm still jealous but happy for him.
The only thing he wants to...
