Hello,

I have one 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE with only 14,000 miles for sale.
NOTICE I HAVE THIS LISTED ON AUTOTRADER.COM

I purchased this new in July 01 for $40k & have put $15k in it & a lot of time. As you can tell by the mileage I hardly drove it, it is our third vehicle & was only driven for long road trips. As you can see by the photos I have done a lot of modifications. (This isn?t your typical neighbor hood soccer Moms Discovery).

I have taken it off-road 3 times total & was very careful not to damage anything.

If you are familiar with the Discovery Series II you probably know that for the Series II Land Rover removed the center differential lock but left the nut on the transfer case to engage it until 02 when they removed it from the transfer case for some reason, well this has the nut which will increase the off-road ability
I took a photo of the window sticker were you can see the stock options this vehicle came with, the only things that are no longer there are:

Front stock driving lights

Rear stock fog lights

Kiabab front brush bar (these were removed to accommodate the modifications I made.

Here are the modifications I made:

Old Man Emu 2? heavy duty suspension (coil springs & shocks)

Old Man Emu heavy duty steering stabilizer

ARB bull bar with Dixon Bates recovery points

Hella Matador work lamp

Safety Devices roof rack with custom expanded steel flooring

Rover Solutions High Lift mounts on roof rack

Genuine Land Rover Ladder

Davis Designs rear bumper with built in quarter panel sliders

Resonator removed so not to be seen with new bumper

(5)Atlantic British steel wheels with Land Rover steel lug nuts

(4) Land Rover center caps

(5) Goodyear MTR?s 265/75/16 only have 2k on tires

window tint on all windows

Discovery I winter wiper conversion so it will accept standard replacements from auto stores

ARB safari snorkel

Southdown USA under body protection 3/16? zinc anodized steel (4) pieces

Steering Guard

Front axle guard

Rear Diff guard

Fuel tank guard

Safari Gard rock sliders

03 stile cup holders

Husky rear cargo liner

Hood blackout 3M graphic

Rear brake & turn signals now in high lights rather then bumper like stock position

Well I think that is all

Vehicle Condition

This vehicle is in mint condition!

This vehicle has had the oil changed every 3,000 miles & required maintenance performed by a Land Rover dealer.

I feel the new suspension is a much nicer ride then the stock suspension.

There are no problems with the vehicle, when I bought it from Princeton Land Rover the service guy said the warranty would be good until 50k no matter how long it takes to get there, so if other dealers will honor this your warranty has a lot of time left.

I have babied this Rover since new. Here is everything that I know of to be wrong.

The steel wheels have a different offset then stock so the front tires rub on the sliders in full turn when the shocks compress, the way to correct this is to go higher in suspension or put on the stock alloy wheels, which I don?t have anymore.

There are two switches on the dash one for front driving lights & one for rear fog lights these are inactive due to I removed the stock bumpers

The Safety Devices roof rack & rear light guards have peeling paint in front & a little rust, recommend that you take them off & have them sandblasted & powder coated.

There are a few slight scratches from going off-road from tree limbs that could be removed by a buffer on sides of vehicle very faint

This Rover has never been smoked in

I have only had people in the back seats a couple of times, never any dogs in vehicle.

There are a couple of touched up areas seen in photos on inside of cargo door next to door lock were a beach chair shifted & scratched the paint.

I put Land Rover seat covers on the front seats when new & rubber mats so all carpets are like new, no stains, no dents, no dings, never in an accident

$27,000.00 OBO contact blewis1@stny.rr.com

VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN UPSTATE NY 13850 BUT WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP WITH CORDINATION TO HAVE AUTO SHIPPERS SHIP IT

THANKS,
Brian

I don't mean to be a dick, but just so you know, under the rules for posting:
4. Links to Ebay type auctions are not permitted. Administrators are exempt from this rule.

It is a nice looking rover, but just so you know...

Disco-HOG, you'd be better off posting exactly what you posted on EBay, here.. with an asking price.. and also mention "This vehicle is also for sale on EBay" .. you might get someone here who will contact you to try to setup a deal [instead of bidding for it on EBay]

Yes I fabricated the 1/4" steel bracket that used the factory spare tire mounts with factory bolts & welded the AB jerry can holder to it & added two spots for antenna or flags. It helps alot to get that big spare out of your rear view mirror.
Thanks,
Brian
