Im pulling a car trailer with an 02 P38 this saturday...

I don't really have a choice.

I've found what appears to be an extra plug in the passenger side of the boot where the emergency fuel door pull tab is.

Is that where the wiring harness for towing plugs into?

Also, how does the P38 tow? 4.6 with fresher coil springs.

I've towed a 109 on a car trailer behind my D1, so an 88 on a car hauler behind the P38 should be no problem right?

The only issue is Im traveling a LOT farther.

What trailer are you using? Not one of those 2800lb uhaul units I hope.

Nope, company "car hauler"

It's a machinery hauler...Miniexcavators, skid-steers, Rammaxs, that kind of stuff.

Has towed a 1500 4wd Dodge Ram a few times. so Im fairly confident that it'll tow a stripped down 88 no problem.

It's the P38 that Im worried about.

"stripped down 88"? You should be fine. Sounds like the trailer will be heavier than the truck lol

The trailer is 1500#...

I got frame, axles, tires, motor, trans, tcase, breakfast, bonnet, bulkhead, windscreen, doors.

So Im thinking the P38 can handle it fine.

Now, just need to figure out my lighting situation.
