Well....hmmmmm :banghead: :banghead:

My 03 Disco 2 HSE has another issue to take care of------->

When I turn my airconditioning on, the ONLY time it will blow any air out, is when the fan is on the HIGHEST level. If I try turning the fan down any at all, it will not blow any air, only when it is on the highest level. If I put it on the 3rd bar or any other, it stops blowing, then when I put it back to the highest level...its almost like it has been building up and blasts back on.---->

Does anyone have any idea on what the hell is needed to cure this problem?

Sidenote, stupid question im a newb so heres a free laugh---when the car was delivered to me, the ac/heat temp was set on celsius instead of farenheit----cant for the life of me switch it----:smilelol: :banghead:

Thanks in advance

On any other vehicle I would say it is the blower resistor thats blown. Not sure what LR uses in that electronic package though. I did read somewhere in RAVE that there was something like thirty speeds it is capable of in automatic mode!!! You have RAVE?

Yup, found it:
Blower control
The ATC ECU operates a blower relay, power transistor and power relay to run the blower at one of 31 stepped speeds. All speed steps are available in the automatic modes of blower control. In the manual mode, speed steps 3, 10, 16, 22 and 31 are used to provide slow, three intermediate and fast blower speeds. The ATC ECU energises the blower relay and modulates the power transistor to operate the blower for speed steps 1 to 30. For speed step 31, the ATC ECU energises the power relay, which switches the earth side of the blower motor direct to earth, bypassing the power transistor.

Thanks guys for the help---got the temp gauge fixed.

As of Rave---thanks for that quote, but I am not sure what RAVE is.

Any other ideas?
