03 D2 Front overhead console issue

After replacing my headliner, I was putting up the overhead front console and found myself with an extra wire that I can't seem to figure out where to plug back in!

Here's what I could get back in:
- front sunroof control
- rear sunroof control
- sunroof child lock
- two wires for dome light (assuming one was ground)

The end of the wire in question has a blue plug and is wrapped in a piece of foam.

Only thing that does not seem to be working is the rear wiper - I can get fluid to run but the arm does not move and I don't hear the motor running.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes - and it's coming out of the same bundle as the other wires...for the life of me I can't remember if I unplugged if from something or if I found it that way. pulled the console off over a month ago and at the time thought I would remember where everything fit back together

yes...and the windshield was also replaced while I had the headliner off

I checked the homelink... the lights blink when I press the buttons. It's not set up for my garage doors so don't know if it's actually working

Is the Homelink on the bottom of your mirror? I forget which year they made the change; however, the blank panel in front of courtesy lamp is where the original Homelink module used to sit. There is nothing up there that would impact your wipers.

Do you have ACE ?

The connector for the ACE Upper Accelerometer is a Light Blue 3-way connector.

As a rule-of-thumb, connectors that have foam wrapped around them are usually unused.

i don't have ACE - tried to upload some photos but something is not allowing me to...

looks like there are places for 3 pins in the plug and there are three wires coming out of it...

- orange and blue
- yellow and red
- yellow and green

thanks all for helping me troubleshoot...

Yep, that's the ACE connector.
