:banghead: :banghead: When I start my D2---no matter where the switch is positioned for the headlights, on or off----they are on. They work properly, brights work fine, but they cannot be turned off------W T F?

Any advice, thanks in advance!

sounds like DTR(daytime running lights) has been/is activated in the ecu. its an option to turn it on and off w/ testbook. what market are you located in? canada, australlia, US europe etc? has it always been this way?

I am in the US---I purchased the car 3 months ago from Texas and that is how it was when I got it. I cant turn them off and on, they stay on no matter what. I would like to change it to normal if possible

Thanks guys.

And 2 Hours to read the entire owners manual because my headlights are on----or 30 seconds to post on a forum for issues with discovery 2....hmmmm

so your just to lazy to read the manual and familerize yourself with your truck even with 3 months of time.
maybe if you tried to educate yourself you won't have to waste 30 second to ask a question you should have known for the last 3 months.

issues how are day time running lights issues, it's a option, but you would know that if you would :rtfm:

When Greyhound Bus Lines started running with their headlights on 24h in the 80's they found a 25% reduction in collisions. If people can't see a bus during the day, why would you ever want to shut your headlights off?
