Hello again-

I first had a problem with my '03 Disco about a month ago. I went out to start and the battery was dead. Just clicking. No slow cranking. I am positive there were no lights on or anything like that. I replaced the battery and everything was fine until just now. I went home for lunch, and after about a half hour, I went to go start it and no cranking, just clicking. Dead battery again!
What do you guys think it is? Have any of you had this problem?
Thanks-

Are you sure the battery is dead?
Check the cable connections at the battery, are they secure? Also check for loose connections at the ground junction (under the jack box). A loose connection will do what you have described.

Or the truck is not charging.

ditto! sounds like alternator. check the battery with a meter....should get 13v with truck running. on older cars you could remove the battery cable with the engine running and if it died it would indicate a bad alternato. however, i wouldnt recommend this on these vehicles. to be sure take it out and have the zone test its output on their mochine.

also, like mudquest said....if there is a lot of corrosion on the cables the battery may not be charging properly.

ill give you 4k for it....sight unseen

enjoy!
