2003 Land Rover Discovery SE7. 78k miles. $18,900.

I love this truck, but I could use the money to pay off my house.

I bought it with 67k miles after a year long search. I'm picky. This condition was beautiful. No scratches, no dings, not even any chips, no peeling letters, no white fender flares, all the buttons work, the leather is beautiful, soft and smells great. The headliner was perfect, but just started to bubble on me. I have an appointment to get that re-done.

I was thinking I'd have this truck a long long time, so I wanted to make it as bullet proof as possible. I had Norman at Brit Rover go through it and we replaced every single fluid in the truck, w/ the good stuff, synthetic where applicable. Belts and hoses replaced. The head wasn't leaking, but had an ooze to it, so I went ahead and replaced that, valve covers, plugs, wires, everything, hubs checked, moving parts lubed, etc. etc.. I have receipts for that work for $3,187. The truck has run flawlessly and is like a new rover.

I have additional receipts for the following, totalling $8,396. That is for the parts only and doesn't include any labor. I did most the work myself, as I enjoy working on cars and have a shop at my home. Put a good 40 ish hours into it, I like to take my time.

The roof rack and ladder are semi custom. Made by rover racks in Aluminum. Lots of extra bars added for strength. I've had 4 guys up there w/ no problems. It's strong. It has tabs for 4 front lights, two rear lights, limb riser tabs, hi-lift jack tabs.

Hella Lights. Rallye 4000. Two pencil beams. Two cornering. Dual beam rear work light. Very clean installation. Hooked up to factory Disco I switches, looks 100% oem. Absolute pain in the butt, but looks fantastic. Involved lots testing and proding to get the factory switches to work with the hella wiring. No easy splices here, everything was soldered together and shrink wrapped. The connections aren't going to wiggle apart on the trail.

Odyssey PC2150 Battery. This think weighs 80 lbs. and is one bid/bad battery. It will run all the lights and winches and air compressors that anyone would want to add. It squeezes into the factory tray and fits perfectly.

Bottle Jack and Tools. The OEM bottle jack will not lift the truck, it's too small. I put together a proper tool bag with breaker bar and socket and a bottle jack that will lift the truck. I did some dremeling to fit the new bottle jack in the old location. Looks OEM.

Line X the interior. This was a big $ item. What a pain. But looks fantastic. The entire interior had to be removed, carpet, seats, trim, belts, etc. Then you have all this sound deadening tar. The best way to get that up is with dry ice, hammer and chisel. Took 2 people 8 hours. Then everything had to be washed down w/ spirits. Then the rest of the car needed to be completely covered in plastic - windows, dash, etc. Then the line-x was the easy part. Then everything had to be put back together. No worries about stinky moldy carpet.

Had the factory wheels sand blasted and powder coated black. All 5. Look brand new. Had center caps painted to match. Bought all new lug nuts as the ones on the car were ruined (typical disco rounded out lugs). Did a spare tire remount kit so the big tire would fit on the back. Tires are 275/60/18 Maxxis Buckshot.

Rovertyme Engineering Springs and Old Man Emu shocks, installed. 2" ish lift. The tires add about another 1" or so.

I have more pictures, email if interested. info@urban8designs.com.

Hi noobie. Nice clean truck and a solid start to a nice trail rig and driver.... but as is it looks a bit of a mall-cruiser?

Seeing as this your first post here and we are very much a tight community - You may want to introduce yourself before you post up too many for sale ads. Also just be prepared for a whole rash of sh ! t about the truck being a *bit* of a poser truck and that your price is WAY too high. Yes it's a nice truck, yes you put a lot into it....

DWeb can be justifiably (most of the time! LOL) harsh and the flames can get pretty hot. Stick it out, learn from the regulars and enjoy.

Um...you're about $2k high on the sand blasting/powdercoating...just saying...good luck selling your truck, it looks cool. Be ready to not get anything near what you're asking. I put mine up locally (SLC) for what I wanted/needed to get out of my loan (the guys here would've ripped me apart for listing it here) and it's no dice. Too many nice trucks out there going for cheap, with lower miles. For your price you can pick up a similar year, lower mileage truck, in similar condition. Then throw every imaginable aftermarket part at it you can find and you'll still be WAY below $21K. BTW I have an 04 G4, about 66,xxx miles and about the same setup except no rack/bedliner, but I have an Arb bumper/winch hellas etc. just so you we're comparing apples/apples.

Looks like a trailer brake gizmo.

But I like the black wheels (minus the chrome lugs....) Now all you need is a HLC bumper or something up front....for that price.

Put on your fire retardant suit bro, you're about to get cremated for the wad of cash you're asking.

what you've done with your truck is on par with what most do with their disco's. 1200 for a Rovertym lift and springs? Updated bottle jack and tool bag? 2500 for sand blasting wheels and putting 265/75R16 tires on it? sound slike you're a magnet for getting ripped off.

Try LRO instead of dweb to peddle your vehicle off as a first time post. and dont give us the BS about "I've been lurking for years". You came here looking to sell a vehicle for much more than it's worth to the wrong crowd.

Good luck elsewhere.

why would you bother trying to pass off what a "doof" and "tool" would pay for things on an enthusiast site... then go on to boast that there is no way to replicate this truck for $21k?

hmm I think everyone here knows the answer

i was going to be smart here, but i'll decline. i'll just say there is no way in hell you can duplicate this truck for $21k. itsa nice.

that right, you couldn't, because no way all those parts and what you could buy that truck for stock would even come close to adding up to 21K.
