So, while moving the Disco sounds like grinding metal. Almost like the sound is coming from right under you, but I cannot pinpoint the sound. After putting it up on all four Jack Stands, with the vehicle in drive or reverse, it doesn’t make any noise. When I press the break pedal, I feel a very rough shaking in the pedal, and it makes a grinding noise at the same time. Sound like the noise is right in front of the steering column. All wheels are off the ground and when in drive or reverse, makes no noise, even when accelerating.

Could it be the Master Cylinder? Or break booster? I’m not sure and cannot tell...

Please help!

Also just noticed a vibrating grinding noise from the rear while in reverse. Nothing is making unwanted contact as far as I can tell. (All wheel bearings, disks, pads are new)

Ok, so i got some help, and had my wife manipulate the gas and shifter.
(FOR ALL YOU WHO MAY NEED THIS IN THE FUTURE!!!)
Turns out while I was underneath watching everything while she did this. The Flange for the rear diff to the rear of the driveshaft was EXTREMELY loose, and wiggled. And is where I pinpointed the noise to be.

Also, for the noise when I push the brake pedal... the noise seems to be coming from the brake booster at the wall of the engine bay. There are no leaks though as far as I can tell.

I have ordered a New Booster, and have a used, but good Rear Diff. SoI will let you guys know if this fixes my issue, and we’ll all be able to learn from this. 😂

I am aware, and it looked to be in great shape, and was in sink with the rest of the shaft. Right at the base of the Flange, there is a ring it fits into. I’m pretty sure there is a pinion and bolt there inside the flange that holds that in place. And it is supper loose and almost freely spins.

You may want a reputable shop to take a look at the pinion and bearing. If that is the problem, "and unless you're a auto technician", it's not as easy as swapping parts.

For sure! I’ve got a mechanic I can get to come take a look once i’ve taken it down for examination. Make sure the teeth are in good shape, and that everything is the right fit.
