How many miles and what lead to your tune up? I'm considering getting new coil pack but wanted to try the wires and plugs first. My vehicle does not throw any codes but stumbles on acceleration from time to time, especially when wet. Ignition and possible MAF are all I can come up with. I move one arching wire and it has since gotten better so it maybe be pulgs wires and carbon build up.

ive seen people get 40K on coils and others 150K, with the cost of coils I would try the wires and plugs first....and with your arching sounds like the coils are firing!

X2 The coils went at 144K I have had the plugs and wires changed at 70K and again with the coils.

I've never had any codes but at idle it feels like the engine misses a beat. I noticed it at around 55k the reason I first changed the wires and plugs with no change in the way it idled. I'm replacing the wires now because lately the engine has been stumbling with partial acceleration and with especially when wet, besides doing its thing at idle. I'll have the vehicle for the forseeable future and I hate doing the wires but figure if I could, I'd replace the coil packs while doing the wires. Just hesitant to pull the trigger.
RoverMC did you have to pull the plenum to install the packs?

Yep, and to get the new packs and the new wires in, I bent (not crimped) the freon lines located behind them, that made it even easier. Don't forget to get a NEW plenum gasket to replace the old one. I tried it once by placing the old one back in and got all kind of random misfires.
