I just bought an 04 transfer case shifter for my 01 disco 2. There's an interlock solenoid on the 04 shifter. I should remove this prior to installation, right? I also have an issue with the low range solenoid on the transfer case. It will currently not shift into low. So, since I need to be in that area to do this job I might as well install the linkage to have the locking dif. Any tips for getting access to all the screws for the solenoid cover? It appears to be a real bitch to get them all out.

I posted a reply to this already, but keep the 04 Interlock Solenoid and remove the 94-02 Interlock Solenoid on the TC. The unit on the 03-04 D2 Linkage is pretty reliable, and easy to bypass if it fails vs the 94-02 setup.
That's why you use screws when putting it back instead of rivets.
