04 Disco coolant fill line

On 04 Disco is it best to fill the coolant to a little below the cold line indicated on the expansion tank? Reason I ask is I slightly overfilled it by 3/16 of an inch and that's pretty much what the Disco got rid of via the tube that's near the neck of the expansion tank. I did check for exhaust gases and no exhaust gases where found. 04 Disco has new engine with 600 miles.

meh i just fill it up. it burps out. then top it off hot running reved up.

Doesn't matter how much I put in mine.....that's where it burps down to and stays there.

ok, found the leak near the heater hose, fixing it now. I'll fill back to the cold line indicated on the expansion tank

I keep my D2 filled about 1/2" over the seam in the tank, it is much more visible there and easier to check.

Also gives you slightly earlier warning of a fluid leak, as long as you check your coolant regularly.
