I know this subject has been covered many times. However, I can not seem to find where my roof leak is coming from. I decided to seal of the moon/sun roofs. I also sealed the alpines and every other place I could think of. Maybe I made a mistake. I guess its too late now. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

On the sunroofs, did you seal the glass to the trim ring or the trim to the body? I've seen several people speculate that the water ingress comes from water getting in under the black plastic trim rather than theough the glass seal. I haven't tried it, but mine only leaks when it pours hard. We get 10 inches a year, so that's maybe twice.

There is a water drain tube on each of the sunroofs, it runs between the roof and the headliner. I don't know if it is accessible otherwise, but I found that the plastic socket / tube was broken only when I had my headliner out to be redone. It was fixed and I have not seen any wetness on the headliner so far, been thru a few VERY heavy and long downpours. Knock on wood. Taking out the headliner may seem as a tall order to fix that, but sealing the sunroofs may be even worse.
I used the time when the headliner was being redone to apply dynamat-like stuff on the roof itself, ran some wires across the truck to the new head unit (reverse light positive, video feed from the back up cam, etc) so at the end it was all worth it, not to mention that the source of the water leak was an easy fix. A pro shop did the headliner for about $300.
