Hi!

Our "new" 110 needs new set of tyres. I been lurking for size 255-85-16 and possibly BFG MT's. ( wolf rims are OK?)

Is that "combo" good for an defender, usage offroading ( not crawling or other hard core stuff), outdoors, drivin gravel and sandroads, weekend trips and trails.

is MT good choice or shud i go for AT's? On my disco 2 i have Grabber AT2's and they been working very well.
In 110 i dont have to worry about any more noise, i guess...!

any comments, suggestios or ideas?

cheers

Jan

one of our members has a CT110 and he's running 265/75-16 BFG MT's.

as for wolf rims, good choice IMO

as for MT vs. AT, thats your call

My brother has the 255.85's BFG mt's on his 110 and likes them a lot.

I have the 285.75 BFG Km2's on my 110 and love them. Basically the same height just wider with the Km2 tread pattern.

Both trucks are Tdi's so as you said, not much to worry about in the noise dept.

I have my 255/85 KM2s currently on a 90 that is stock sprung. No probs with any rubbing anywhere. I would not go this size if the vehicle is not lifted and you plan on loading it up with lots of weight or taking it offroad.

255/85s BFG KMs on my DII. work wonders. the defender dealer down the street puts these on all their trucks on stock suspension and small lifts. look and ride great.

hi!

Now i have new 235-85-16 cooper winter tyres on my 110. Dont you think that they look kind of small? :)

the coopers are thinner than normal, at a treadwidth of 8", while the BFGs and other manufacturers 255 tires have a 10" treadwidth. the size looks good to me. get a matching spare though!
