Here's Ver 1.0…this was a cut little too short, but still clears the 1350 ujoint:

that is the front output housing…part of the 2 piece ds for my buggy. Needed the extra space, attached pic shows it with a lt230 bolted up to a 4L80E...

yes…the rear has taken a lot more engineering and I'm waiting for ver 4.0 from the fab shop...

I was thinking of machining flanges that accept the ford stuff, then making my own disc brake for the rear output. Or deleting the brake all together.

I haven't seen a lantern post tool holder since my early days in the shipyard...cool. What 1350 flange did you use to match the diameter and spline count of the LT230?

Might be worth an email to Dave. I'm not saying he has them, but I'm not sure what else he would use on his 9" conversion.

that's a ford flange with the LR bolt pattern, which would probably work if the depth and diameter is correct for the LR 3rd. I'm only doing the LT-230 side...

I did drop him a email though

I couldn't find much for the lt230 side to go 1350 or larger. Only that the ford 9" splines are the same, and to do as Mongo has. There is dana60 to LR, lt230 to 1310 cv. Looks more like we must do as they had to in the past, make our own.

I am thinking of just going 1350 all around. Using ford flanges. But my other thought was Toyota stuff. My buggy was on 4D's, Lincoln lockers, 10:1 t-case, and never had a problem with the toy junk. That was with all used shafts, cut down, homemade. They have the toy flanges for my axles, and 9". But I'm going to investigate the ford flanges more first. I want as much off the parts store shelf stuff as I can, I learned the hard way about "different" and "custom".
