I have owned it for about two years and put a bunch of money into it. Sorry to see it go because it is a lot of fun. However, I have too many toys and need to pay bills.
Odometer reads 25.5k miles. However, would guess it has turned over at least once. So best guess on mileage is 125,500 miles.

There has not been very much interest in this. Any advice to increase interest? So far I have listed on DWeb, RN, and Craigslist. Should I list it anywhere else?

Is the price to high?

Thanks

Might just be the wrong time. Price might be a little high as you mention some rust issues in the frame that could have some prospects wondering if the problem is worse than described. I also think a 74 III doesn't have the same appeal as an older IIa especially when the price gets over 10K. It looks nice and complete. I don't find much interest in series trucks here and RN can be slow. My IIa gets the most attention at club events and from total strangers in parking lots. Good luck with the sale!

make it look more stock. we deal in series rigs all the time and it seems every owner wants to do their own customizations. sadly we've had a handful of customers who pay over 10k for them off ebay and then we have to give them the bad news that their car is nothing more than a death trap with a fancy paint job. you might also try advertising in more rover specific markets like portland OR, seattle, Van BC, and theres always retards in Cali willing to overpay haha.

^^^ agreed. when selling a rover you need to be patient. even when it comes to RRCs, it takes the right person to really appreciate what you're selling and what it would cost to restore one to like condition.

Jim,

If I could toss in my 2c, as someone currently shopping for something similar, there are two items on your "FLAWS" list which are probably scaring a lot of buyers off and might not be nearly as bad as one would assume if explained a bit more.

1. The engine oil leak. All Rovers leak, right? But by leaving this so vague most people are probably assuming that this is not your average leak or you'd be doing something to explain it away.

2. The oil in the exhaust. Again, if you have any way of explaining what's happening it'd probably go a long way towards attracting interest instead of scaring someone off. Oil in the exhaust, at least to me, hints at ring/piston,compression issues which sounds like $$$.

Best of luck with the sale, if you were on the East coast I'd be knocking on your door.
