Definitely has potential. Nice find. Dumping the handicapped-arm-rail rack would be a nice start. Any thoughts on the drivetrain?

Go for it. I'm still searching for a 110 that age in decent shape over here in the UK. They all apparently have been partially dipped into vats of toxic acid.

I'm with you. I've actually been looking for an import myself. I'm working on building up a 2004 Disco from scratch right now -- the 4.6 and seven seats and warranty make it a great family/overland vehicle -- but my wife and I both would give it up for the "right" 110 for the right price. So, we're looking. That looks like a good find -- if you get photos of the crossmembers and footwells. Engine and transmission are negotiable to me since I would want to look into a 4.6 or Tdi replacement anyway.

Go for it if you can.

P.S.: We also looked into the importation process for a specific vehicle we almost bought -- customs was giving us the green light also.

Nice, but it ain't a Defender though. LR didn't introduce them until 1990. That there be a "One Ten" ;)

The One Ten is however the prettiest of all the Series vehicles. Sure they have their drawbacks but for someone who can fab up parts they're an amazing choice.

You should buy this!

For this incredable advice you should bring a bottle of Patron and some lime to my place next time you are in the neighborhood!

Or tell me where to get it down by your place and I'll drop in when I'm in the area.

Keith,

Feel free to stop by at the rally and I will share my drinks with you

Hopefully I can resist the temptation between now and then :D
