Greeting have not been on here much this summer, but got a ton done on our LWB. I questioned was it worth it when I bought. I could not deny the interior perfection and the 116k on the clock. Floor pans are perfect. The rust on one rocker, rear body mount and front under the headlights was the worst of it.
compression across all cylinders is 174/175. All electrical works except blower fan that probably needs a resistor done.
did the water pump, valley pan , rebuilt all the injectors, new plugs wires, cap and vacuum advance. Cruise control even works.
New shocks, springs, ball joints and next week all new bushing in entire suspension.
Next spring will be the rust parts removal and replace, then repaint.
The only flaw in the interior is the material covering the mid center console is pulling away at the bottom.
The spare wheel even matches all the wheels on the truck.
love making these trucks all original and perfect again.

I recently bought a parts truck that miraculously had a good fuse cover. It was the first thing I pulled.

Hats off for restoring one. They're much easier to buy in good shape, but of course those have rocketed the last few years.

It's incredibly rewarding when they work after all your efforts. But, man, can they take it out of you. I got into Rovers in the P38 and D2 era, but I owned D1s because that's all I could afford at the time. I never understood why people hated working on Rovers, yes even dealing with P38s. After owning a few RRCs now, though. Wow, I get it.

I have done about 5 classics over the past 23 years. I dig them. It is getting harder and harder as the years go by. The P38 always scared me as anytime there is a model change year it is just silly all over issues. This one even with. Few rust fixes is on point 100% original.
