Deciding retreat is the better part of valor and selling my Rover stuff. Just don't have the time, space or resources any more. I have owned this truck since Apr 2000. In Feb 2004 I rolled the truck while in WVa. Slow roll, but mangled the roof. After attempting to straighten it and failing miserably, decided to cut the top and go from there.

1995 Discovery – 133,178 miles on body (http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=91166)
Obviously the top has been cut off and a cage has been installed. The cage only goes to the body, it does not go to frame. That should definitely be addressed. Front A pillars come down in front of dash, so those with big/wide legs may have some comfort issues. Cage was built by Iron Pig Offroad out of Fredericksburg, VA. Cappings placed over all cut areas. Rear door hinge was moved down so that the door works as should.
Custom bikini top made by Seatco out of Springfield, VA. Very well done.
Rebuilt 4.2 around 9,000 miles ago. Included new front cover and oil pump gears, bearings, rings, 50229 Crower camshaft, rockers, timing chain and gears. It moves very well.
Front TT with 4.1 gears
Rear Detroit with 4.1 gears
Rear GBR hd axles
Front Rovertracks hd inner axles with the AEU522 CV and stub on the driver’s side. I shredded the outer stub at the hub on the passenger’s side at Conclave a year ago. So only a stock inner and outer currently. I do still have the hd inner that looks good, but it needs the cv/outer.
KVT front bumper
Pierce 12k lb winch. Just put a new motor and solenoid box on the winch
100’ 3/8” synthetic winch line
Heavy duty tie and drag bars
Rovertym trailing links
Rovertym sliders – slightly shorter to accommodate wheel well trims
stainless frame sliders
Front / rear bolt on diff guards
34x10.50 Super Swamper LTBs – approximately 10k miles. On Disco steelies
3” RTE heavy rear springs
3” Big Blue front springs
2+ Pro Comp shocks
Mean Green alternator
Tom Woods rear driveshaft built for lift size
Front D90 brake calipers and pads
20mm wheel spaces – hub centric
2 Hella 4k on bumper – fog style with 100w bulbs
Mantec snorkel
D2 cup holders
Rear stock seat was removed, it does have an old CJ fold and tumble bolted to the floor, but no rear seat belts (though I do still have them and can throw them in)
Rebuilt meridian steering box
Transmission shift well, no major issues
Transfer case goes into low and lock easily
Magnaflow series 50

The bad:
Has a couple rust holes in the floors. They have stopped growing since all the carpet was pulled, but they are there. Nothing on the frame or exterior body. Holes are rear seat well and rear cargo area
Driver’s side front tire loses air while sitting. Have not had it looked at. Spare tire tread looks good, but was told belts don’t look good. Is good for full size spare.
No major leaks, but engine definitely weeps
Driver’s seat bottom fell out. I actually have a replacement bottom and cushion, but was waiting to purchase new seat covers before replacing as the leather is torn up.

Does not include the cb, fire extinguisher and mount, hilift and mount and power tank mount, unless a deal is reached.

Located in Herndon,VA. For some additional pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/rbd4a/library/1995 Disco
Be happy to take pictures of anything else you need. I have a ton of other parts and bits and pieces that can be purchased separately or potentially thrown in with the deal (external res shocks, RT radius arms, etc.). $6500 is a start. Not desperate but I think with all the work and parts on it, probably pretty close. Most definitely not everyone's cup of tea (heck, even I go back and forth on it) but it is a lot of fun. I have been tempted to get more streetable tires and drive it daily.

RRC going too? Sad to see this Disco move along, it has always been one of my favorite builds.

Thanks guys. Tough decision, but for the best.

The RRC is on the market as well. So far, only sent that out to a couple of folks.

I keep remembering things or finding things additional for the truck as well: EE spring retainers, tubular shock mounts, RTE shock mounts, Trailhead tire deflators, 20lb CO2 tank with outback air static regulator and Powertank cage mount, FourTreks high lift cage mount and 48" high lift, 10lb extinguisher and cage mount, Cobra 75wx st cb, Firestick 4' on spring and quick release mount, Garmin 276C on RAM mount, old 12v Norcold fridge/freezer plus stock replacement parts - diffs, axles, various relays, etc. Lots of items to include in the whole package.

Just did a break down of costs if I were to part this out, and not even including engine/trans/transfer/body/wheels and basics, think I should be able to get close to $7k. Soooo, anyone interested in the full thing before I start yanking pieces off?

Aaaaaaaaaaah! Please don't part it out! That's one of my favorite trucks out there. Don't do that to the ol' girl!

I don't want you to part it out, because this thing is badass....but if you do I'll send you $400 for the front axles
