HELP!

What is wrong? Seat ECU?

I would not care, but someone who is 5' 5" needs to drive it and I have it all the way back.

So I took the battery out and it is still not working. There was very minor corrosion. Do I have to replace the battery or will it work without it? How can I rig it to move the seat back and forth? What output on the ECU controls front to back?

You can wire direct power to the switch. Try with driver door open and power on. Check ALL the fuses. I found a bad fuse to the alarm and corrected similar problem on my 95.

Picked this up off of LRO:

Coming out of the box is a black connector, with 8 round connections (picture 2).
That connector attaches to another connector that leads to the seat motors.
On the '95 the connector that leads to the seat motors is blue on the drivers seat, red on the passenger seat.
Pull the connectors apart, and you'll see the 8 "prongs" (picture 3).
Each "pair" of prongs (4 pairs) corresponds to a seat motor.
Top two prongs are for forward/back
Next two prongs are for tilt forward/back
Next two are for the seat back
Last two are for up & down
If you apply 12V direct to one pair of prongs (ie negative one side positive the other side) the seat will move (I used a 12V booster pack I had). Reverse the polarity & it will move the other way.

If you need a new battery these people have them. They are located in Canada though. Direct replacement is a V150H Mempac 3v 150Ah Button cell battery. Part number 55615603940.
Company is Futureelctronics.com. It is possible that the processor may not like not having that battery in. Go over the joints on the board with a bright light and resolder any cracks. Battery was $7.00 but shipping was $9.
Worth having though for the memory function and no fights with the wife.

I got a used ecu and replaced the battery in it with the one linked in the thread above. All better now (other than one part of the seat switch works only intermittently, but it did that before).

If you have a 93-95 RRC, buy the $10 battery now, or buy an ECU and a battery later.
