I have owned this truck for 5 years and have made sure it had everything it needed and more. Now it's time to move on. Here's the list:
GoodYear MTR - 245/75-16 - including spare - NEW - less than 2k miles
Rotoflex Conversion to double cardon drive shaft
Garvin Wilderness Rack
2" OME shocks and springs w/ 1" spacers
Factory Brush Bar w/ Hella 500's
Hella 550 on the back of the rack
Partial list of parts replaced fairly recently:
TPS
stepper motor @ about 140k
fuel pump - three months ago
fuel tank recall - about a year ago
fuel injectors - three months ago
fuel filter @ about 140k
spark plugs @ about 140k
spark plug wires @ about 130k
radiator about 2 years ago
fan clutch about three months ago
new front windshield and seal
new rear window seal
front brake master cylinder last month
new brake pads @ about 130k
power steering hose - last month
serpentine belt - last month
Known Issues (every LR has at least some issue. We all know it.):
needs front sunroof rails - it has been like this since I bought it
cats are rattling
rear passenger seat has holes where bleach spilled on it and ate through the leather
sometimes it has a stumble on acceleration around 2500 RPM - drove it on a 4 hour trip to the beach and back and it happened once on the way home. It happens sometimes around town. I have replaced many parts trying to figure it out and decided that it's not a big enough problem to worry about.
The usual LR drip leaks from the engine compartment onto my nice white concrete
