I could see where you may have put about $7-8k into parts. Some of these parts are worth .5 cost, some .3 cost and some aren't worth anything (rancho shocks, front skid, for example).

Both bumpers are hideous. The front rusted and nice hole left for a winch. The Hella's are mounted in a horrible location.

Main problem selling this is it looks bad, has mechanical issues and it heavily used.

After looking over you list and the quality fo the gear, I believe that this vehicle only worth the total used price of the following parts, pus a litte since it runs.

1.6:1 T-case w/3.2:1 low range(put in @ 130K)
Moser Rear Axles
Detroit Locker Rear
ARB front locker with
upgraded Ashcroft inners, and Heavy duty 110 CVs
ARB Compressor
4" lift (2" springs, 2" spacer)
American Racing steelies

Why would you ever try to sell here? This site is great for info, etc., but is famous for low-ballers and bad-mouthers. Nice truck. Keep it, even if you don't use it much.

i wasn't trying to sell it but just trying to get an idea of what people would be willing to pay. I am well aware of the dwebber types, that is why i stopped visiting about 4 years ago.

I don't think it has anything to do with "Dwebber types". In fact, I purchased one of my truck from a dweb ad just over a year ago. Many truck actually DO sell here.

But, if you think you're going to sell a $4,000.00 here for 7,000.00, you're crazy.

How you come about your "estimated worth" is anyones guess, but I'd love to see you explain it. Even in "fair" condition, the loan value on that truck is less than $2,000.00. Even if you part out the mods you've added, there is NO WAY IN HELL you're going to get any where near your $7,000.00 mark.

If you want a good starting point, search. There was a nice green D1 Steve Ware bought not long ago; Bill Brettridge sold a sharp D1 here; even Will Tillery has ended up with a few new rides.

Man, this seems to be a popular theme here on DWEB: "DWEB'ers are too cheap and won't pay a fair price for anything!"

Fact is, an enthusiast web site is a TERRIBLE place to sell anything at retail! IF you want a fair price and aren't looking to MAKE money, than this is a great place to sell a truck. We KNOW what Rovers are worth. We know what a USED rack, 3rd, ARB, Detroit, bumper, winch, spring, etc. is worth! We're not cheap, just realistic. If you want to get close to retail or find some sucker, go to Autotrader or FleaBay! Shit, put in a parking lot with a for sale sign in it. Some high school kid might have to have it for ANY price! A buddy of mine is selling his '70 911T right now, he sure as hell aint putting it on Porsche Boards!

emmodg is right but damn, some of you guys just love busting balls. I think your best bet to get close to $7000 is a local sale via craigslist, autotrader, or similar. Also I would throw a coat of paint on those bumpers and give it a detailing.

Will you part out the cat? If so how much shipped to 70122?

You can get a free cat from Garret. Don't know what he charges for shipping.

Don't knock this truck. Brad's dad is none other than Bill Bradford of TLR (tntlr.com). They do awesome stuff to these trucks and I would guess that this one is spot on.

It amuses me that when someone wants an opinion and they come to an educated LR forum such as this and don't hear what they want to hear they get pissed! You asked for a "feeler". Well take what you want and leave the rest behind. Don't get pissed at "D-webbers" because they are being straight up based on their own experiences.

Good Luck with the Sell,

Mike

It is not that i don't like the answer i am getting. It is the fact that i have gotten 12 ims of people wanting stuff off of the truck. I will say that not all Dwebbers are cheap, but the fact that they want a detroit for $300 and want me to take my time to remove i from my truck, package it, and let them know how much shipping is, is crazy. If you want the stuff off of the truck buy it, and then you can part it out. I don't want a disco sitting in my driveway on blocks, missing the drivetrain and little knick knack stuff. Thanks for the insight of what the trucks are going for now. I still think that the parts on the truck are worth buying the truck, especially if someone was starting from stock.
