1996 Fuel tank recall

I think the fuel tank recall is from 2004. Tulsa Land Rover replaced my tank yesterday. Turned into a painless experience. I tried to smooth the way by dropping the Disco off with maybe enough fuel in the tank to drive into the service bay. I sprayed all the hardware down with a lubricant multiple times over several weeks. I also removed the back door carpet trim and had the carpet out of the way.
They gave me a 2021 Disco to drive overnight. I would not describe that as a Land Rover experience. But for something I was not looking forward to, it turned out ok

That’s pretty cool. Mine left the fuel pump cover off. When I finally solved the source of the new road noise they suggested I try a junkyard for a replacement. They did eventually make it right

That's odd, not as if you wouldn't notice. I removed my cover before I took it in.

Are you the original owner, I got a 96 a couple of weeks back.
