1997 Land Rover Discovery SE Rioja Red with Dual Sunroofs
Located in New Hope, PA 18938
120,000 miles.
Automatic.
She starts and runs great. Makes a great daily driver (in fact, was my daily driver up until 2 years ago when I started med school, at which point she became my parents 3rd vehicle and was used by my mother to transport her kayak to and from the lake and to get around in the snow).
Aside from ABS light, has no lights on (no check engine, no codes)! Shifts into high and low range with ease. Has been a great truck the whole time I've had her.
Original LR Accessories
Homelink transmitter for garage doors (215.00)
Safety Devices roofrack (1,100.00)
Wheel arch protectors (425.00)
Cool Discovery spare tire cover (130.00)
Land Rover Safari 5000 Lamps (350.00)
Rear lamp guards (165.00)
Rear ladder (115.00)
Dog guard (250.00)
Trailer wiring harness (160.00)
Genuine Rear Cargo Mat (the heavy rubber one) (110.00)
Waterproof seat covers (front only) (265.00)
1 Rear jump seat (500) - so this technically makes it an SE6 ... lol.
"Land Rover" - Raised Decal (50)
"Discovery" - Raised Decal (35)
* Prices next to description are for the items new, and if added up (please, allow me) come to 3,870.00. Obviously these items are no longer new, but are nonetheless still very functional and attractive, and do add to the value of the vehicle (albeit not as much as they once did) since they are genuine Land Rover accessories. At least that's my thinking
Accessories I installed
2" OME lift
Stainless Steel brake lines
AB front skid plate
Front and rear diff guards
Magnacore Wires
2 Hella 4000 Lights - Cornering Beam
2 Hella 4000 Lights - Euro Beam
2 Hella Matador Lights
Safari Snorkel
Optima Yellow Top Battery
Hood blackout - painted on
Recently performed services
Oil changed every 5k miles with synthetic
Full brakes and rotors done approx 5k miles ago
New shocks installed recently
Known Issues
ABS overly sensitive - I pulled the fuse
Rear bumper is bent on each side (due to fathers inexperience with backing up a trailer).
Rear quarter panels are bent a bit on lower edge from offroad
A few dents here and there from loading 2 kayaks onto the rack.
Misc. leaks from engine - nothing abnormal, nothing serious.
Cruise control does not work (vacuum leak, easy fix).
So, in conclusion, I absolutely love my disco and never thought I would let her go, but I'm moving to NYC in January to start clinicals (3rd and 4th years of med school) and I know from experience that the disco is not practical in the city (too tall). Yes, I know I could take off the roofrack and fit into parking garages, but what can I say, I love the look now and would feel terrible taking off all the "kit". Quite honestly, she deserves more - green fields, long drives through rough terrain - not to be cooped up in some parking garage.
So with the disco's best interests in mind, here we are.
Asking 6,000 OBO
Kind Regards, Dominik

P.S. I'm sorry, but I don't have the time, nor heart, to part her out.
