Hi Again,
After a few PMs I decided to try this thread again!

Starter truck:
1998 disco 1 rust free
Blown motor
Crappy auto box
Missing all sorts of random stuff

End Result:
Restored exterior
Restored interior
Mechanically perfect
Full sound deading
Full rust protection
300TDI
5 spd box
Lift
Loads of other crap as we think of it

This is being built on spec for a customer. We are not sure if he will take it or if we will keep it. I hope we keep it :)

Disclaimer:
In the previous thread there were some issues with the 30TDI conversion, possible regulatory issues and how I responded to the issue. There are quite a few opinions on this and the regulations are complex; not only in how they apply but in how they are enforced. For anyone that chooses to do this conversion on this or on any other truck I would encourage them to research the laws both nationwide and in their area. This applies especially if one is either a buyer or a sell of a converted vehicle. The ONLY 100% sure, 50 state legal, way to perform this conversion would be to register this for off road use only.

Glad to see ya back!

What exactly is Raptor? The headliner in my '99 needs to go and this looks like a great option. I used spray paint on my '00 and its fine, but the Raptor looks better for sure.

Raptor is a miracle spray. I bet we use 3-5 gallons a month.

It is an epoxy spray in bed liner. About $130 for 4, 1 quart bottles. It comes in black or neutral and you can tint the neutral which is what we do. The texture changes based on how you set the gun and how far away you are form the surface.

Thanks for the info! The bumper on my '00 needs to be repainted this summer as well and this stuff looks like it might be a great option.
