PRICE REDUCTION TO $7,950 Read my post at the end of this thread

I bought a 2005 Jetta GLS TDI this evening. Kind of an impulse buy but.......
Got home and realized that our place is now "Kearns European Imports" and we have a problem. Too many cars.

Up for grabs is our 1998 Disco SVD LE. It's a nice truck, has the Safety Devices rack, ladder, light guards, "wood" trim interior, all leather, heated seats, dual roofs, jump seats, rubber mats, bla bla bla.

I took the brush guard-winch off the LE and put it on my XD. The XD brush guard and lights are now on the LE, but I would liket to keep it.

There is slight bumper damage at the rear, but nothing major. The original HD springs are still up front (for the winch) but I will throw in a set of stock springs to level it out.

I think it has about 102K and the engine is extremely strong. There is a ticking sound that I will "bet the trailer payment" is from an exhaust leak from where the manifold connects to the pipe. I plan on investigating soon.

I would like to get $9,500 out of it without the brush guard, but including the SD rack. If you don't need the SD rack then we can look at a lower price.

Located in Clay City, Indiana which is between Terre Haute and Bloomington.

Give me a call (812) 236-3048 or send me an e-mail with the "Disco" in the subject line to bkearns@howboucha.com

I may also consider selling my XD.....wait....nevermind.

Photos will be up soon.

Brendan,
would you consider selling the SD rack separately?! I reallly want one! ;)

Also, I drove an 04 Jetta the other day for work...fun car! Good compliment to the heavy, guzzling, rovers!

Let me know about the rack....Thanks

Howboucha Roverlady! (and Blue too).

I have had several inquiries about the rack. I am trying to sell it without the rack, with the plans of hanging on to it until I get another Disco ( I am still keeping the XD).

That Jetta is a blast. I was giddy when I went to the pump after driving 300 miles and filled it up at 6.2 gallons. So much different than the disco's.

Some photos of the LE are at http://www.redbirdsra.com/forsale.htm

mpg brendan?

I think I want a disco, not too sure yet but I did test an 04 tdi jetta stick wagon. Plenty of power, very practical.

Want is your mpg range in the disco?

Update: I removed the rack and brush guard this weekend (it actually looks pretty cool) and I am motivated to sell the LE. I cannot take less than 8,400 as it sits so if you are looking for a nice disco, shoot me a note or give me a call.

And sorry, the rack and guard are not for sale (right now).

I still have the LE if anyone is interested in D-Web land. It seems as if no one is in Indiana land. Maybe I can toss a Chevy emblem on it and it would sell.

Anyway, the "monthly bottom dollar" is now 8,200. I would like to keep it, but my new jorb's salary just won't allow me to have all of my toys. :(

It's a great rig, other than the annoying can't figure out what that ticking sound is.
Shoot me a note if you are interested. The rack may be up for grabs, but I don't want to ship it. Chris Marcel gets dibs on it though (send me a note Chris)

Btw, that's a killer deal on the XD that was listed today.

The SVD edition was outfitted with the Safety Devices roof rack, LR brush guard with winch mount, Warn 9000xi winch, light guards, ladder, heavy duty front springs.

The only things left on it from the SVD additions are the rear light guards and heavy duty springs. The winch and mount are now on my XD and I took the roof rack off with the original intent on saving it for when I buy another disco as a wheeling rig.
