I saw this ad up on D90 yesterday and all I could think is "oh god, I hope he doesn't put this on Dweb". No offense kid, but this isn't the place to sell anything for market value. You better start at 20-30% under what you consider to be a fair asking price for the ad to go over well. It's just how it is here.

youre wrong...check d90souce..... there have been three nas90s recently sell for 5-13k that were "rusty NAS defender 90's" for 25k you can have my d90 that has fully rebuilt engine, brand new clutch master/slave, r380, tcase, and many more new parts....so for 25k you can find a d90 in very good shape. for 15-20k you can find one in good shape. wait til the economy tanks when QE2 ends and I am sure more deals will be abound.

They aren't impossible to find, but if rusty NAS Defender 90s are selling for $25-$30k you can guess that rare diesels won't be any cheaper.

Wow!, who gives a rats ass that his bumper is tilted a little, or not, no one here is even remotley interested in buying it anyway. For me the deal killer was the bug splat on the drivers side windscreen. Hey kid ,(which I doubt), there is a guy near me that imports ROW 90's with 200's ,he does a couple a year and there usually priced around 15K, FYI. Your thread was a great idea to get your post numbers up.

The guy Tracy is referring to ( Derrick ) post them on ebay all the time, be prepared to get at a minimum a 2 tone, N/A row.

I 've explained on another forum how these things go and what you get for the money.

Didn't they all have salvage titles and lots of hearsay regarding the condition of them?

I know one of those inexpensive ones has salvage history not salvage title, the motor allegedly was bad ( however a spare 25k motor was included, has 3" full rovertym lift, GBR axles and DS, couple of boo boos on the body.

Repairs: new wing, blue devil, new tires ( owner is picky ), new rims ( same as tires ), top, and full tune up

I know another ( on the high side ) one, needed every panel replaced

And about the condition, I think the low balling effect made those comments regarding the condition escalate.
The one on the low side, was allegedly dying, many issues, HOWEVER, the PO drove the damn think 1880 miles non stop from CO to DC area to deliver it, and I am pretty sure, many of the critics, wouldn't adventure to drive their precious units that long ;-)

So true. One of the guys on there a long time ago was blabbing about how he had to split up the drive to MAR over two or three days which put him at less than 200 miles a day. And others totally afraid of going an hour away from home without a complete recovery kit and spare parts. It blows my mind.

I would think once anything is salvaged regardless of it being titled as such, if the history shows, they would take a hit on price unless it was completely rebuilt by a legitimate company. A lot of the ones in the higher 25k range on D90 also come with loads of goodies like multiple tops spare parts blahbity blah blah blah.
