2 Door Disco?

Yep - they made two variants of the 2/3 door disco - this one and a commercial variant that has no side windows and no rear seats of course.

Would love to have a 3 door commercial - would be really good for long range expeditioning. Its such a shame we get porked by Land Rover when it comes to the available models.

No defenders (or very few and then no 130's), No TDi's, No basic Disco's. Sometimes its hard to believe that this is one of the largest if not the largest market for Land Rover.

Jens,

Your two door Disco looks to be about the same wheelbase as the four door. Is that the case or are my eyes screwy?

Good looking truck, BTW.

Thanks, the 2door discos shared the same 100 inch wheelbase as the 4doors. They are starting to get rare even here in germany, because most buyers prefered the 4door when it became available. Just click my signature line and scroll down to find more pics of my 2doors (or look at the dweb photogallery)

Even RRCs were 2dr only. D1s were 2dr at first as well. It took a couple of years for the four door versions to come out in d1 and perhaps more than a decade for the 4dr rrc....the Monterverdi RRC was the first four door version

I believe that orange one is actually scorpion racing's demo car which is a stock factory 2door..

The orange Discovery, although pictured on Scorpion's show stand actually belongs to the French company 'Outback Import' . The truck features Maxidrive portals, Maxidrive rear wheel steer and Equipe suspension.

Very confusing thread. The truck he is hacking on looks alot like Brian Hacksons old beater (Minus the mods) and the pics of the "Project truck" "Before" are of a completely different truck.....

Actually when the three door disco came out in 89 the five door was available the very next year.
