These both may be stupid but:

'91 RRC


1. How do I wire the factory fog lamp switch to stay on with the high beams?

I want to run a set of hellas on them.

2. How also do I hard wire in the cigarette lighter to have power all the time for the Engel?

I would think that hard wiring the cigar lighter wouldn't be a good idea unless you have dual deep cycle batteries other wise youll be on the trail with a dead battery thats just what would probaly happen to me. You probaly probaly have better luck than me.

I already have the single Optima Red top and will be adding an additional yellow top for just that purpose.

One method is to run a new fused (10-15 amp) wire from the battery into the cabin to a 3-outlet adapter. (all of this is avail @ radioshack). Then you leave your existing cig outlet as a single switched and gain an additional 3 always on outlets.

I've got this kind of setup in both my 2001 DII and my 1988 RR, and it works great.
