2001 Disco CDL

I am looking at buying a 01 Discovery, Is there any way that you can tell whether it has the provisions to lock the CDL or not?

yep, you can find the nipple on the transfer case. If it is there, you can put in a linkage pretty easily. As for where it is on the t-case, use the search (or look in the tech section) and you'll find everything you need ...

Crawl under, feel on top of the T-case for a small nut protrusion, or use an inspection mirror. If I remember right, most 2001's have the nipple, up to near the end of the production year. My '01, manufactured in March, had it. I used the Aussie AMV electrial actuator kit, but searh here and you'll find many options.
