Rebuilt engine 2 years ago been running great. 210,000 miles. 2 weeks ago started great ran for 1 minute and died in driveway.
Getting spark, fuel pump tested and good. Also, installed new pump and Crankshaft P Sensor. Wires good going back to fuel pump are good.
When testing fuel pump relay got 12v coming in but having trouble getting power out of relay to pump. Tested ground with test light off positive on battery and doesnt light up. Seems like ground in relay isn't working. But if I jump relay to make fuel pump run it will but still doesn't start. I'm running our of ideas.. Any help appreciated.

You can use very cautiously some starting fluid. Use a straw in the nozzle and spray it sparingly in the small vacuum port on the intake manifold. Have someone else try and start it. If it wants to run with the starting fluid then you have a fueling problem. If it doesn’t then you have a spark problem. This is a very simplistic diagnostic test but might point you to the right system to look at. Maybe someone else will chime in but the crank sensor is the only sensor that will keep the motor from starting and running. Maybe the CPS wiring is bad? Even though the fuel pump is running , do you have the appropriate fuel pressure? Good luck.

thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I had previously tried the starter fluid but at your suggestion put another shot of starter fluid in it and it started right up. I also thought it might be a crank shaft position sensor so replaced that also.

A D2 won’t run the fuel pump till it sees crank signal. Service info will tell you it primed on first key on, but that’s not true.

What is the security LED doing? Is he check engine light on with key on engine off?
Don't see the security LED on. Also with the key on off there are no lights present. But in position 2 the check engine, oil and battery lights are on. FYI the codes are 1884,1668,1250,0560 and 1531. I'm not very good with electrics but I was reading the d2 electric stuff trying to figure it out and looking at the diagrams for the fuel pump and inertia switch circuits. I don't think I am getting the earth ground from the ECM but not sure I'm testing relays correctly.

Follow the circuit back till it has no battery voltage.
I tried that and can't find anything there. I've moved over to check the fuel injectors. I removed the upper intake manifold to see if the injectors are getting signal. I'm going slow because I'm researching trying to figure out how to properly test the fuel injectors for proper current. I read I can test the injectors themselves with a multimeter, but I think they are good because the engine started ran great then just died abruptly after a minute or 2.

But since I have the Upper Manifold off to get access I'm wondering if I will mess something up if crank the engine (with the fuel pump relay removed)?

Also I live in Connecticut one dealer near me doesn't have anyone with experience on 20 year old D2's and is more interested in services newer LR's. I'm hesitant to take it there at $196 per hour without excellent experience fixing a 2002. Hopefully its not the ECM..

Any advise will be appreciated. thx

If there’s battery voltage going thru the inertia switch, check it right at the pump. If you have battery voltage at the pump then you should check your ground
