2003 Discovery Electrical Issue

So I'm a little baffled with what my truck is currently doing. It has no started on me twice with everything being completely dead. No lights, no anything when I try to restart...But if I use cables and jump it, it will start after sitting hooked up for 5 minutes or so.

Things I have checked and cleared:

Battery is good brand new
Alternator is good
Starter is good

The issue doesnt happen often it is very random, but any ideas or input would be great.

Battery or starter grounds? Bad positive wire from the battery?

I would check the connections at the battery. Battery terminals are tapered, so loosed the nut and make sure the cables are fully seated.

I think Jimmy nailed it. Sounds like battery ground.

And clean the battery terminals and insides of clamps of any corrosion.

Unhooked the battery and cleaned the terminals as well as the connections. I also removed a piece move metal cap that was left on the battery connection, so I beleive that was the issue the ground wire was only half way actually grounded. Haven't had the issue since, we shall see.
