2003 Discovery HSE Navi/Radio Code????

I took delivery on my 03 Disco HSE---the navigation/radio unit asks for a code----is this something anyone on here could know from my VIN number or will it wind up costing me to get through the dealership?

It's a dealer lookup ... means the radio or the battery have been disconnected ...

remove the radio, call a freindly parts person at the dealer, and maybe they will hook you up

youll likely need to enter the code and leave the truck on for an hour or so before it takes it, thats my experience with those shitty atari nav units at least.

whoops you need to remove the radio to provide the serial number
