2003 Rear Driveshaft Conversion (Rotoflex to U-Joint)

I purchased the following driveshaft and conversion kit from BPUtah:

http://bputah.com/Disco2 Parts/Land...r_Driveshaft_Rotoflex_Conversion_FRC8387.html

Their website shows the conversion is only for "94~99 Discovery I and 99~02 Discovery II".

I decided to check other suppliers and their version of the conversion kit. Atlantic British shows the same restriction (i.e., "94~99 Discovery I and 99~02 Discovery II"):

I checked first with BPUtah before purchasing the driveshaft and conversion kit. They confirmed it is will also work for my 2003 Disco.

I would have normally done this installation work myself except that I had just moved into a new house and the garage is packed with boxes. I took the Disco to a local shop. They tried to install the BPUtah kit and called to say this differential spacer is needed on the kit:

Just curious if anyone has done the rear driveshaft conversion on a 2003/2004 Disco in the past. Can you comment on the need for the differential spacer or difference in driveshaft length between the 2003/2004 Discos versus Discos of other years please? Thanks in advance of your feedback.

Not sure on the 2003, but a spacer under the 4 bolt flange is is required on a D1.
It is included in the Roverparts kit according to the description.

Iirc the diff spacer is needed on all d2's

I imagine the figment is for the ds being slightly shorter on 03/04. I personally wouldn't worry about it. But I haven't swapped my 03 pr 04 yet.
