2004 D2 4.6 Bosch engine price check

How much would a replacement engine cost?
I would also need shipping to 05482 if you have one for sale.
I do have access to a business address with a loading dock for truck freight.
Contemplating buying a D2 with a bad lower end knock.
Just trying to see if the numbers add up, I will do the labor to swap the engine.

Talk to Doug (roving beetle) here about a block. He is in your area and has one available.

Yup got one.

Generally they run around the $2500 mark for a delivered "take out not touched" motor complete.

I can do a bit better for sure - mine needs assembly but will then be a "lightly rebuilt" motor (rebuilt heads are off) but is complete long block and I know the truck it came from well. Will include new water pump, rebuilt heads, new cam and lifter set and timing set. Will need to assemble. Will need a gasket set and head bolts to assemble.
