Hi, I have a newly purchased 04. It had a new battery and new valeo alternator in it. Doesn’t seem to be charging. Only getting 12.4 volts while running. Is ther an exciter circuit or fuse that would cause it not to charge? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Step 1: Check and clean every single ground you can find. I always put a bit of copper (or any metallic) anti-seize on every ground after cleaning, even on the battery posts. This will give good contact and stop corrosion.
Step2: Have the battery and alternator checked. New parts don't always work. Be sure alternator is properly connected.
