Unless someone retrofitted your seat buttons, which is fine of course, you don't have the winter pkg that includes the windscreen. Just and fyi.

By secret button, a joke, I mean it is no secret when it comes as a factory option. The buttons for seats and for windscreen will be as shown in these photos. It is possible to add the seat buttons after the fact because the factory wired the seats and everything anyway and just popped in the buttons when the option was ordered - however it was usually windscreen and heated mirrors too.
The windscreen is awesome in snow and ice and basic frost but in NC, that's not too often and the windscreen is more $ to replace. I've done 1 on the lr3 and it was $1000.

The disco looks nice though.

You sure about that? Heated seats are generally part of the winter pkg that also has a heated windscreen - which yours does not unless you have a special secret button. The button for the windscreen is just above the rear window defroster button.

Were heated seats a stand alone option?

You should add a photo of the button cluster where the windows and seat heater buttons are located to be sure.

Also, people often like a clear shot of the odometer, one under the hood, under the drive line plus one of the 2nd row seats as well.

This will help distant buyers.

really? did you just try to tell someone what they have or don't have in their truck and what pictures they should take? If someone "distant" was interested i'm sure they would request pictures of what they wanted to see.

Okay, just to clarify, I DO NOT have the heated windscreen and mirrors. I was kidding about the secret switch, too. I DO have the heated seats.

I don't mind the request for more pics, though. The more the merrier. I'll get those later tonight.

Although the price is high for DWEB, I like to think that someone who takes the time modifying a vehicle typically keeps up with fluid changes and maintenance better than your local soccer mom.

As you know, most wives don't like Series trucks due to the ride and lack of creature comforts. Girlfriends seem to like those, but some sort of magic happens during the wedding ceremony.
Epic statement full of Win.. quoted for historical retention

BTW.. Beautiful truck Chuck!

Yes, unlike you, I posted a useful note.

As an interested party, I most certainly asked for photos I would like to see. I also "told" him the standard button for heated windscreen was not in place, as some people without it would not know. It not being there invites question over the seats as it is normally a package with both as in, one could generally see the windscreen button and rest assured the seats are also heated. This was also a way to ask if the seat buttons were installed after the fact.

FWIW My friend's G4 had heated seats and no heated windshield.

More pics including one of the infamous heated seat buttons... I can see what jwest is saying. It's just a simple clarification of whether it's the cold weather package or just the heated seats. No harm no foul...

I live on a 1/4 mile long gravel / dirt driveway. The pics of the undercarriage show a little dirt.

great photos! nice and sharp. what's the funky green button - the lights? too bad they didn't use one of the blank spots on the instrument surround with the switch that EE sells. my shop didn't use it either though so I don't think it's readily known to be available.

jwest, that switch looks pretty cool. That would have been nice. Although, the funky green button (for the aux lights) is in easy reach. Don't have to move my arm...

Did you throw in a free pair of white Guinea Boots?

"I lan in thunda, dahlin'!"

On a more serious note, who knew little ol' GouCo would ever produce such nice discos!

That's pretty funny. Yep, deal goes down tomorrow. I think I WILL throw in some boots now that you mention it. I can guarantee I'm the only Defender owner in a 20 mile radius of Gloucester... and I think I have the only Gloucester Disco with a winch.

Yeah, I kinda anticipated that. I wanted to give y'all a shot at it before putting it on Fleabay. There's another built '04 that just sold on here:

I know it's not apples to apples. The one above is more heavily built, but mine has 50k less miles and an extended warranty. I'm not trying to compare trucks, but I think I'm at least in the right ballpark.

I appreciate everybody's comments.
Cheers,
Chuck

Lriwater- I asked about your truck too late on eBay, but I think your price was decent for the mileage. I ended up buying another ebay Disco II - everyone else was low-balling the price. I went into it for 11k, she settled for 14k and it was totally worth it - stock Disco II SE, Bonatti Grey, 1-1/2yrs left on an extended EasyCare TotalCare warranty, just had the 37,500 service completed, one owner (a female jeweler - very particular with it's upkeep and maintenance - all the records + the original sales receipt & Disco brochure)...AND it only has 29,300 miles on it. My first choice was the Zambezi Silver with all the mods that you added, but I wasn't fast enough on the draw. Glad to hear that you got yourself a good price.

Now the wife drives the '08 LR2 Zermatt Silver and I'll be driving the '04 Disco II (with my eyes out for a Series III in the future).

Cheers!
