2004 Discovery II Sunroof Motor Not Working from Rainwater Leaks & Drainage Issues

I took it to North Hollywood Auto Upholstery shop to have its damaged headliner cover replaced and checked for leaks.

Issue # 1) The front sunroof motor is no longer working. I removed the JIDECO 3693 motor and checked it. It is dead from rainwater leaks. It needs replacing (see pictures) and a new one is not an option. Sources anyone?

Issue # 2) Water hose test revealed the origin of the leak is from the rear sunroof drainage and a right rear rivet (see video).

Sunroof Drainage made of black plastic: Each of the two sunroofs has two forward drainage square corners ending with a nipple where a black rubber drain tube slips over. That’s what carries water all the way down to the street.

Findings from Prior Bad Work:

a) Black epoxy was used in prior to reconnect rubber drain tubes over the plastic nipples, which fused them together.

b) Two of the four plastic square drain corners (one of each sunroof) show crack-damage to them. Glue was used on them. The rear one is clearly leaking (see video). Also, one plastic nipple had somehow been broken off. Black epoxy was also used to either reconnect that broken nipple or to rig it to fuse to its square corner where the drain tube was also fused to. It’s possible that the way it was rigged did not provide a clear enough channel for water to flow through unobstructed.
History:

In 2017, I had the headliner cover replaced at the same shop where I took it now to. Shortly afterwards in 2017, my Disco sustained body paint damage from a sharp object used by vandals on a street. Referred by Hornburg Land Rover Dealer, I took it to Collision Body Specialists in North Hollywood where they repainted the entire vehicle instead of just the hood and doors. No, they did not have my prior authorization to paint it all. I stunningly found that out on one of my inspections. They said it was better for me and they were not billing me for the extra work. I did not like that but turning back the clock was/is not in my power.

They stripped it to paint it. And clearly, they did a bad job reinstalling things. Point in fact, sunroof drainage and they removed the quarter panel and alpine glass and reinstalled the same ones (see pictures) with black glue or silicone. Those normally have to be replaced with OEM as they come with special seals. I have it in writing with them to replace anything with OEM. Honestly, I tried hard to get that shop to fix the issues it created to no avail. The thought of it all made me very ill… still now six years later. I’m sure all of you readers are appalled. But please, don’t fan it. I need to remain focused on solving my issues once and for all. So I would appreciate intelligent suggestions to do just that.

Now, also, the upholstery shop and I would like to have access to those drain tubes to blow them clear from dirt or possible debris. We don’t know what to do here. Any intelligent suggestions would be appreciated.
